Renaissance is more of a word to describe The Organic movement, rather than a revolution.

Organic design is a knowledge of design for buildings. It is all about..

"The need for good design"
Organic design translates the concept of form follows function, yet it has its own unique twists in its own ways.
"The influence of nature"
Influences of nature really show their part in this movement of art.
The process of evolution
Organic design usually takes an old deign and builds on it, makes it it's own. Old pieces still look contemporary in it's own way.
An awareness of the finished product as a unified whole
Detail is VERY important for the completed and finished design.

In my opinion Organic design is an art that has it's own way of life, it's own flow through the system. It changes everyday life.

Frank Lloyd Wright: He was a greatly known architect and followed the rule of function. He has lived his life and created his designs always following "form and function are one".
Organic design was very different when it first started out, it focused on things that are now not taken much notice of, example its sense of sensitivity.

Rudolf Steiner was indeed an Organic designer in the styles early stages. He is ought to have used dominating elements but his finished pieces always have the sensitive peaceful touching look.

Christopher Alexander, a recent writer on Organic design who concentrates on the flow of the movement, not just the block information that is sat there in front of one's eyes.

Organic architecture tries to fill up the empty spaces in life, all the white spaces in a picture.

THE FUNDAMENTAL FACTS I FOUND ON ORGANIC DESIGN.
" 1. Good design understands that for anything to be truly beautiful, that it must possess simplicity and
repose. Architecture, like any other art, must not fall victim to fashion and trends and maintain it's course.
The elements of good design is to follow Natures example and have the form and function be one and the
same. The arrangement of the design must be such that removing any one piece would destroy the intended
composition.
2. Good design is expressive to each unique circumstance. Given this, I propose that there should be as
many types and styles of Architecture as there are Individuals.
3. A building should grow from its site as Nature grows: from the inside out, and shaped by the forces which
surround it.
4. The nature of the materials should be expressed throughout the building as inherent to their quality and
ability. False or fake materials made to mimic others create false architecture.
5. We require from our buildings, as we do from people, an integrity and honesty in all it expresses. It
should be true to itself and its environment. "
